EFUGY setup guide
Prepare your first EFUGY job.
Select your printer, open an STL or OBJ, inspect every layer, and export the finished G-code.

Before you import
Know the machine you are preparing for.
A printer profile supplies the starting settings. Match it to your exact printer, nozzle, material, and firmware before you slice.

First-job sequence
Import, check, slice, preview, export.
Take the steps in order. If the model, profile, or preview looks wrong, stop before the file reaches a printer.
- 01Select the printer profile
Choose the exact model when it is available. Confirm build volume and starting nozzle before using the profile.
- 02Open an STL or OBJ
Use Files, iCloud Drive, AirDrop, or another iOS sharing workflow to bring the model into EFUGY.
- 03Check size and placement
Review the imported dimensions. Rotate the model if a new orientation can place it inside the selected build volume.
- 04Choose print settings
Confirm material, nozzle, layer height, walls, infill, supports, and adhesion for the job you are making.
- 05Slice and inspect the layers
Review walls, infill, travel, supports, first-layer behavior, and the full height of the toolpath.
- 06Export the G-code
Save or share G-code through iOS. Use the transfer path required by your printer and keep the original model available for revisions.
Model placement
Rotate first. Fit only when you choose.
Version 3.2 preserves imported dimensions and lets you test a new orientation before using Fit to Printer. Models that remain outside the build volume stay blocked from slicing.
Before a physical print
Preview the file. Then verify the machine.
A clean preview cannot detect loose belts, a changed hotend, wet filament, blocked motion, or incorrect printer maintenance.
Review the start
Check the first layer, temperatures, homing behavior, and any printer-specific start macro or G-code.
Review the end
Confirm the expected end macro or G-code, toolhead parking, heater shutdown, and motion limits.
Run a safe first check
For a new or Beta profile, inspect the complete preview and perform a raised-nozzle dry run before a small calibration print.
Stop if the machine behaves unexpectedly
Do not continue when the machine, temperatures, motion, extrusion, or first layer differs from the expected result.
